Bounty Hunt is a graphic novella where Reese Williams' past in Australia comes back to haunt him. It is told primarily from the perspective of Madison James.

Synopsis[]

After the Australian Pack murdered Reese William’s parents, the young werewolf fled and took refuge with the American Pack. Three years later, the Australians have tracked him down and dispatched a bounty hunter to bring him back. That bounty hunter, though, isn’t the lone wolf who owes them a debt, but his twenty-one-year-old daughter, Madison. Maddie is determined to bring in the rogue Reese for her ailing father. Now Reese has to show her the truth behind her client’s lies…and avoid being the cause of an all-out war for Elena and the rest of the American Pack.

Plot[]

Maddie arrives home to see the Australian Pack's thugs, Ray and Jason, beating up her father, then giving him a job: to find the wolf who "seduced" and "mistreated" their Alpha's mate Daniella and then fled to North America. Maddie decides to take lead on the job herself, so she sedates her father and hops on a plane. Some of the Australian wolves follow and help her with her subterfuge.

She follows Keith and Daniella's advice about Reese and creates a situation where he "rescues" her from a wolf attack. She exchanges phone numbers but he doesn't reach out, despite Daniella's assurances that he likes to play the big hero romance card. She tries again, bumping into him at his college, and pretends she was bit by the werewolf. Reese takes her to a motel, and the fact that she didn't insist on a hospital, and sought a stranger, showed him that it was a setup. She escapes.

Reese finally brings in Elena and finally shares what happened in Australia with the rest of the Pack; only Elena knew up until now. Meanwhile, Maddie is threatened by the Australian wolves to get results.

She tries luring in Noah next, as his school, but he brings backup. She is held captive by the Pack and overhears Reese telling them the true story of what happened with both his parents and with Daniella.

They arrange to meet with Ray and Tyson in a deserted cabin. Maddie waits safely in the car, where her father finds her. She realizes her father is using this bounty as a way to clear his financial debts with the Australian Pack, and she is disgusted that he would use her this way.

The Pack fights with the Australians. They win, and Elena delivers a firm message that Reese is staying in America and the Australians need to get gone.

Back at the Sorrentino estate, Reese and Maddie have the first building blocks of friendship.

"Meanwhile, at Stonehaven...."

Jeremy and Jaime struggle to contain the twins' antics, but when Elena and Clay arrive home the kids are being perfect angels.
