Kayla is a fiesty young 9 year old human who is the daughter of Ginny Thompson. Ginny is a deceased drug abuser and alcoholic. Kayla lived with her 41 year old Grandmother Paula Thompson in the events of Waking The Witch, until evidence was uncovered that Paula had murdered both Ginny and Brandi (Ginny's best friend). In the end of Waking the Witch, Kayla was being taken away by a Social Worker. What happens to Kayla is to be reveled in Spellbound.
